Dr. Barry Rubin

Head, Division of Vascular Surgery
 Dr. Rubin runs a tertiary/quaternary care practice in vascular surgery, and manages
patients with a wide range of vascular diseases, including thoracic and abdominal
aortic aneurysms, carotid stenosis and impaired circulation to the lower extremities.
In addition, Dr. Rubin has developed a protocol to evaluate the venous system in
patients with leg ulcers, and is one of two surgeons in Ontario who does laparoscopic
venous perforator ligation.

 Dr.David is a world-renowned heart surgeon, extensively published researcher,
respected scholar, and sought-after lecturer. He has developed many new operative
procedures that have given thousands of cardiac patients a second chance at life.
A highly skilled surgeon, Dr.David’s greatest satisfaction is being able to operate on
very ill patients who are often referred to him by other surgeons.

 A respected clinician-scientist and cardiologist,Dr.Newton received his medical degree at
the University of Toronto. He then received additional training in Ottawa before returning to
Toronto. He has been directly involved with University Health Network and the University of
Toronto since 1996.
