Message from the Chair
Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital were founded on the generosity of people who made donations through planned gifts. These gifts have helped build hospital wings, purchase new equipment and create endowments and scholarships for our nurses, doctors, scientists, and other medical professionals. These donations have also helped our researchers carry out groundbreaking work in areas such as cardiovascular disease, neuroscience and arthritis. Like the past, many generations to come will benefit from this legacy of support.
Partners for the Future is a group of individuals who have made planned or future gifts to our Hospitals. It is our special way of saying ‘thank you’ for their commitment and foresight in ensuring that our Hospitals will be able to continue providing quality health care well into the future.
The Eaton family has been closely involved with medicine since our grandparents set up the Eaton Chair of Medicine over 100 years ago. My grandfather, my father, and I have all been Trustees of Toronto General Hospital. Through this personal history, I can truly say that the Hospitals are world class. I hope that you, like my family, will be inspired to continue this rich tradition of excellence through your involvement with Partners for the Future.
